Not sure what to think until I see car. I would not put a license plate in the front for sure.

Not an option for European countries for sure.

Did not know that about Europe. Been driving without a front license for 6 years+ and never even get pulled over in my life. I am from Texas.

It looks like these renders capture the general silhouette and lines of the car. I'm not sure about the grill though. I think it's going to be a bit less prominent than that. I'm thinking it'll have slightly less height, and will be more narrow than what's depicted here.

Honestly the rest of the car looks fine minus the hideous front. I mean why BMW...just make a smaller version of the G20 grilles and we'll be set!

Thank you for the renders.

I see what appears to be a 435i badge. I wouldn't be surprised if we eventually see a bump from 430i to 435i and M440i to M445i (and similar changes throughout the rest of the BMW lineup), but for that to happen next year would be a huge surprise. There is no B48B20T1 which is what you'd expect under the hood of a 435i. Maybe the B48 TU2 will bring a B48B20T2, but that's not going to arrive until 2021 at the earliest.

The grill does look like the predator a bit in this version, I think the real version will be much better.

from the camo shots the snout grill doesnt appear to stick out quite that far from the headlights... even 1 inch will make a world of difference in putting it all together..

reserving opinion to the final version but i think the only things that seem like they will bother me are:

-how they will handle the offset sensor for the driver assist pro (lack of symmetry)

-how the final design will work with license plates... required in many states (YMMV on enforcement) and in EU. Someone on the design team HAD to make sure they thought through and accounted for that in some way. I always think it is a design misstep when designs come out for volume models that essentially ignore it (i get porsche/ferrari/etc). I want my car to look good everyday in real world not just on the show car pedestal.

I don't know, the side profile of the 1st one looks like a photoshopped 8 series, while the second photo has a completely different side profile which looks more realistic and closer to the prototypes testing.

I still think there's too much camo on to get a good look at body lines and design elements, especially regarding the front end.

I don’t believe for a minute the grill will be that huge.

Much better than the G80 renderings...the dip in the middle hood where the roundel is was just awful, glad to see it's not on these.

Voldemort up front, like it had a nose and you chopped it off.

Do like the back render more than I thought I would.

Seriously right.

A face only a mother could love.

If it looks like that, BMW is seriously screwed.

If only the USA would allow a euro style plate in front, would look much better. It wouldn't disturb the lines of the car
