I'll be in my 997 gt3 rs when this abomination of a car leaves me dead on a straight line, BUT i will be smiling. Instead of hanging out the window with a large sign saying ''The new design is good looking'' trying to convince everyone i left behind, that the car is in fact good looking

Jokes aside, the car will surely be a monster of a car and everyone will want one in the end. I'm like the rest, hating on the design but when push comes to shove, i'll be rocking one in a few years.

The worst part for us in Europe is that the car will have the dreaded OPF-filter which will make it sound like an old lawn-mower.

Calling the BS here.

Rear quarter panel looks like an off brand Audi. The rear window going upwards is not really pleasing to look at. It looks off, its certainly not BMW. Looks econobox, not premium.

Also, it looks just like the 2021 F-Type. All the luxury cars are literally starting to look the same. To add insult to injury all the Asian brands are doing the same thing because they are poaching all the European designers.

Yes the grill is ugly and looks out of place, but this whole car is a symptom of a much larger problem at BMW.

Great design usually needs no explanation. Nobody had to be convinced E46, E92, or F80 M3 were amazing designs.
Funny you say that. The backside of the concept from the profile view we were given reminds me of the E92 precisely. Just cant help but think, I've seen that before. Front side/mid section resembles the jaguar F-type... and not in a good way. G20 design is not a good look. Coming after the FXX, doesn't help much.
Agreed that there's a strong E92 thing happening around the 3/4 and rocker. But it all has to go together to work and until the real thing debuts we'll have to keep guessing though I'm pretty skeptical at this point.

We should have a poll on when we will see the real thing. I am going with January, 2020.

I happen to think the concept is sexy af, it might be the «forbidden red» but it works. BMW should be bold about the 4/i4, it could still be stylish with the new front.

Oh you went ahead and did something rash like buying an Audi. Sorry that happened to you.

Nah, just being a jerk. Enjoy your new car.

The grille shape reminds me of the RS5, which is a good thing in my opinion, minus the vertical grille separator on the 4 rendering.

I'm ok if it's really big like the pic above. Go big or go home I say. This half way house on the concept 4 is just bad.

The biggest issue with the BMW versions is that the grille is above the headlights. The Audi grille is level/below the lights which makes it appear much more fluid.

IMO the picture in 1st post (from Scott) looks great. vent openings in the front bumper is the only design choice I'd like to see other options for. But we all know, when it comes to actual production model, this car will loose some of the beauty and become a safe choice for different buyer groups and to meet legal/other government requirements.

I thought they would have taken it to the USA too.
Bmw wasn't at NY auto show at all this year, what gives? I was disappointed when I went to that show

Sute there were a lot complains and there are a lot of big grilles out there, but they all are „normal single frames" more or less...and suite these cars when you look at them.....

They BMW kidneys just dont work in that huge size, it just looks awkward....I looked at the concept and leaks a lot, and while on the concept it bareley works somehow because of how it is sculpted into the car....on the leaks is just only looks „glued on" and it is simply not growing on me at all....

And have you ever seen a „double" single frame grille on any car?

Hope is there that when we see the whole car, it fits somehow better, but the worries are big...

Is BMW haunted by a ghost that died from not being able to breathe? Why are they so obsessed with bigger nose hole job?
