Easy solution (no pun intended) - my local dealer filled the reservoir while my 840 was in for its seasonal health check.

Honestly this feels like emperors clothes. At those prices you must have paid for a new washer system 10 times over?

I’ve had BMWs new since 2012 including one for 160k miles and always filled the washer with cheap supermarket fluid and NEVER had a problem.

The worlds gone crazy …

The filters on the Gxx cars seem especially cloggable, which might be part of the problem. Plus they are less easier to get to than some of the previous models.

It's the mixing of liquids that can cause a reaction that clogs things up. I suspect if you've got an empty tank and then put cheap stuff in, you'll be fine.

I had a clogged washer on my old e39
