It’s to annoy the people who can’t get software updates. It’s BMW taunting them with “look, we can access your vehicle over the air, we’re just not giving you new firmware”.

It was the highlight of my day. When I saw the notification, I thought it was going to be some discount voucher or some other useless promo.

2023-3 came out this week if you are still under 3 years? I just managed to download a week before mine expired.

Saw this yesterday and was quite confused about its purpose. Was in a bit of a rush so assumed I had missed something, but based on the above I understand it actually is a bit pointless!

Sadly I like the concept, but could have been executed so much better! Better luck next time BMW...
