Window/handbrake intermittent fault

So I've had these two issues since the car was new, nearly two years old now. Yes I know, I should get it in to fix it, I guess I'm hesitant as it will probably be away from me for a while.

Driver window - intermittent fault when I open/close it and it only moves about a cm. Sometimes when it closes/open fully it's like the motor keeps going and the window I pushed pushed its threshold.

Electronic handbrake - another intermittent fault when I turn the engine off the handbrake doesn't auto engage.

These two faults are becoming more frequent. Has anyone else experienced this and if so is it a easy fix.

I have similar with the handbrake, sometimes I see the red light come on automatically and others not. I just assumed there is a specific pattern for when it does rather than any fault

It's very random for me, and only happens when I park up and switch off the engine. More often than not it engages.

Before assuming there are faults...

With the window, is this simply how you use the switch and the resistance point?

Parking brake, are you using Autohold? In my car, parking brake only actuates if AutoHold in switched on. If not, no auto parking brake.

I've tried auto hold on and off, the intermittent fault is still there.

For the window, I always push the button fully to engage full motion. Again, the intermittent fault is also present.

Not only does it have to be switched on, the manual states the vehicle must be held by the autohold when the engine is switched off for the parking brake to be automatically applied (which requires a firm press of the brake pedal). If auto hold isn't holding the car when you switch off the engine then the parking brake isn't automatically applied. That isn't a fault.
