Leather Cracks, excellent condition seats

The car is just over 2 years old and seats are in excellent condition, well looked after.

Merino leather!

Today I noticed two cracks on front seats, 1 on each left bolster, see pictures

Anybody else had similar? Will BMW say its just wear and tear?

Are you sure they are actual cracks? It's a bit difficult to tell from the photographs, but they look like creases or part of the leather finish to me, particularly the 2nd photo.

You can be sure BMW will put it down to 'wear and tear'!

One way to get a crease out is to use the wife’s hairdryer:

This way you’ll know whether it is cracked or creased.

If it smoothes out then great. It wasn’t creased.

If it’s still there then touch it in with a matched paint:

So easy to paint leather and repair it.

I *love* leather when it starts to look aged. Unfortunately my seats still look like new.

hmm i run finger through them and cannot feel it like a crack

but i had Dakota before and know creases but here it looks like bolster system maybe pushing leather from inside?
