I opened bonnet yesterday in rain, and the rain water ran off and into the engine compartment. This morning I can hear water swooshing about as I brake and accelerate, which seems to be coming from the sills. Is this normal? Ta.

Sounds like blocked drainage holes. Not normal. Usually, it’s leaves that get caught under the hood, some decay, and gunk up. Equally, there are drain channels under the doors and sills. So check all over.. it might be something you can address yourself before turning it over to the dealer. You can always do a dye leak test with UV light. It’s an inexpensive dye and light available online. Spray the dye and water mix in different places. Check with the light.

You were right. Small drain hole in door was blocked with mud…..quick clean and all sorted. ��

Yep, has to form part of regular check / maintenance if you live near trees etc.
