G21 320i tyres
Looking at a G21 320i as my next car. Would go for M-Sport which I see is 18” wheels or M-Sport pro which then seems to be 19”
Question - do both of these sizes have run flat tyres? Not been a fan in the past given the harder ride and the extra cost of replacing them |

Used or new? Used? It depends what the previous owner had on there. Run flats aren’t too bad these days. They weigh about the same as non run flats or close. Some prefer the stiffer side walls for cornering. It’s extra weight (or the same) to carry a spare. Gloop makes things worse on non run flats. A plug kit is a better bet. If cost is an issue then sure go ahead and ditch the run flats once they are end of life.

My G21 MSport 320i has optional 19" wheels. It came from factory with Goodyear F1 Assymetric 3 runflat tyres. Very happy with them. Good mixture of comfort and agility.
Yes they're taut but, when compared to older generation BMWs on runflats, I've found the G21 the most compliant setup. However, the 18" wheeled cars I tested at the time had less road noise and were even more comfortable. Personally I'd opt for the factory 18" if I had the choice (I didn't). |

As standard the 18" on the M-Sport wheels are non RFT.
