Hi Everyone,

Placed a order for a m340i few weeks ago, dealer said it roughly take 4month or so seemed abit vague about that.

I got my order number spoke to BMW genius it’s status 47, I expect this to stay like for a month or so.

Was wondering what delivery times other people had recently?

Build for me took 1 week and car was delivered yesterday after 3 weeks, so total of a month once it entered production.

My order was put in roughly a month or so prior so it took abo it 2-2.5 months total to get to Texas.

Is it a Touring? These are built in Germany and are delivered punctually. They arrive at the crack of dawn like a German holiday maker reserving all the sun loungers.

It’s a saloon so will be Mexico, can only hope be 4months if the dealer has some existing build slots.

Very much depends on the build slot. I’ve seen others ordering the car mid to late last year and still waiting on the forum.

My UK car was ordered right at start of Feb, built early March, and is on the high seas on its way right now from Mexico. Hopefully get delivery in next few weeks.

Push the dealer on the slot and keep checking with the bmw genius online.

Well I ordered in mid November for mine and I’m still waiting.
ETA is start of May so almost 6 months from order to delivery.

I probably should set my expectations to 6months l, I thought 4 months seemed to good to be true when they said that

Mine is the touring so coming from Germany but I ordered 18th Jan and I'm not expecting the car until at least end June. It's due to be built 5th June.

I ordered my 340i Touring in mid Jan and have a delivery slot for week 26 which is end of June. However, it does seem to depend on the dealer and when they have a delivery slot from BMW as some people seem to get them much quicker than that 🤷*♂️

I’ve been calling a few different dealers found one who has an existing build slot I can take.

What are my rights cancelling my original order with the dealership it’s under the 14 days and I paid £500 deposit, can they cancel the order ?

Will call them tomorrow to find out but wondering if others had experience.

This is a real bone of contention for me! Ordered September and was originally told March 17th. 4 weeks to go got a phone call to say there's a delay and will be getting it 1st week in August...11 months from ordering but mines is a company car so was expecting to get messed around and suspected the dealer of giving my build slot to a private buyer.

I could be waaaaaaay off on that one but good God, it's so frustrating.

You may be a lot luckier than me so good luck.

That sucks. Just my hunch but does feel like there is prioritisation based on what you order, from whom and how much you pay. Shouldn't be that way but some orders sail through and some do not.

Order status is now 160 it was built yesterday just waiting for delivery to port. Didn’t expect jt to built so soon.

Does anyone know which shipping company they use from Mexico to Southampton?

I think they go from Veracruz to Bremerhaven and then to Southampton. Second leg could be UECC or Wallenius Wilhelmsen. Not sure about the first leg.

I think the key to any order is asking your dealer directly if they have a built slot, and when the slot is for

I've seen people waiting 4-8 weeks only if they drop lucky with a dealer with a build slot

and also people waiting 9 months when they've ordered from somewhere thats not got a slot available (and in most cases, the dealer hasn't told them about the importance of slots)

Can’t remember the shipping co but two ships that go from Mexico to Southampton are Victoria Highway and Horizon Highway

Google the shipping Co and they have a schedule. MarineTraffic app will track the boat. Goes to Southampton before Beemer heaven. My M340i went that route

Looking at some of the timelines, I was lucky - I ordered a M340d Touring on the March 3rd, it was built WC April 24th and was at the dealers by the May 26th.

The dealer said any new orders wouldn’t be delivered until early next year.
