Assuming same material used, does brand of spacer matter?
I accidentally ordered MAD spacers for my G26, instead of H&R, and I was very upset about this. I requested cancellation, but upon further reading, I discovered that these spacers are built from the exact same material as the H&Rs, and they’re 60 a pair VS 100 a pair for H&Rs. Should I just go with it? Or will H&Rs assuredly be of better quality?

The precision of the piece is just as important as the material. For instance, if there is a slightly wider side or imperfect bolt hole, it could lead to stress on the lug bolt.

You bring up a good point. Some generic spacers are not precisely machined flat so jt can introduce a wobble into the wheel when driving.
