"Outstanding quality enhancement" SMS

Hi, Just received an SMS from BMW that there is an "outstanding quality enhancement" on my BMW (M340i 2019). Anyone else got something similar?

Checked for outstanding recalls in the gov website but nothing showed up.

Will give the dealership a call probably tomorrow see what it is about.

Quality enhancements aren’t necessarily safety related insomuch as they get listed on .Gov,

I had one on my car which I added to a post on here somewhere. Someone kindly researched it a bit and seems its something to do with the front radar.

Not done anything about contacting dealer yet though.

This is to do with the sidewall in the archway. I found it when searching my VIN on the U.K. website (although I'm in the Netherlands).
Mine goes in tomorrow so they can check it.

Very strange. My late January build has the radar "enhancement" outstanding. Whatever it is.

I think 21 plate’s aren’t showing up, did a few checks of a few cars registration from auto trader seems cars MY21 are clear of the “Sidewall” recall.

Just checked and my g21 has open technical enhancement same code as above .
Typical - was in the dealers a few weeks ago (feb 20 build )

Had the radar update a couple of weeks back - software update. Posted an image of the job sheet in another thread somewhere.

It’s something to do with the wing under the wheel arch; possibly rubbing and causing paintwork damage from what I can understand on one of the German forums as shared by Gavinwong…..

I’ll call dealer at some point soon

One code is to do with the sidewall. Just dropped mine off and the service department said they'll check to see if the issue has caused damage to the paintwork. If so, they'll assess whether touch up is suffice or a respray is required.

Another code is related to a software update for the radar

had a call to book in for the recall today same as previous poster to do with the front wing sidewall.Car is 2020 330e.

Great that you get a call / SMS on this.
Just got mine back from BMW and they said it was all ok, car not affected by any friction and no signs of corrosion so they didn't need to do anything other than replace the bolts.
They did find a problem with my sunroof though, and ordered the part so rebooked me in for that in 10 days

Good call. Checked and my car came up with the same enhancement code 41090200.

Booked in for the 28th. Dealer said this only came up on 18th Oct. And they going to check why I have not had OTA software update since Nov 20. My car is model year 21 build July 2020.

The German forums starting posting about this in June. Wonder if they only notify dealers/countries in phases then?

Imagine as it’s not a safety issue they phase the roll outs to ensure no issues with supply of replacement parts.
