"Jack stands"

Does anybody know if there is a UK source for these or something similar? The ones shown are American but aren't available here.

You put the cross member onto you jack pad, jack up the car, put the legs in and then remove the jack. Brilliant idea.

These are called Safe Jacks. If you do a Google search including uk in the search you’ll find loads of people asking where you can buy them and a few discussing how they’ve imported them from US. But I don’t think you’ll find a UK supplier. I suspect they might not meet the relevant EU/UK safety standards due to the small footprint compared to a traditional axle stand, so providing less protection against a sideways slide.

Still cheaper and more universal than the quickjack system.

Ive often looked at these but haven't found a UK supplier. Seem a great idea TBH. Stick traditional jack stands under car is a right bugger nowadays.

The RennStand looks like it does solve a problem or two.

When I needed to get mine up I went by this guide.

To be fair a long reach jack would probably cost about the same.

May be something like this?
