1st service timing / Sytner HW
Hi All,
My G21 will be 2yr in July and due its first service. I've an Euro trip scheduled for April. This will involve high speeds in Germany and a well loaded car (wine, etc.). Was thinking whether it would be best to make the trip on fresh oil given the additional stress expected on the engine. Its a petrol 4 cyl car on 8500 miles. Planing long-term ownership, so I care about long-term effects of maintenance! Also, any feedback / experience of Sytner High Wycombe service department? They're my deliver dealer and thinking about taking the car there, even though I'm in Central London. |

No one cares which BMW dealer you use, Park Lane is actually owned by BMW and must be nearby... so seems weird to go to High Wycombe.
How many miles do you have left according to the idrive? I'd only get it serviced if you're likely to get close / go over by the end of your trip. |

If you are genuinely keeping it long term then ditch the stupid two year service intervals and do it yearly.
Your low milage isn’t helping with your oil quality either so if it was mine I’d be doing yearly oil and filter changes. |

Had some warranty work done at Sytner High Wycombe and also bought my M340i new from them. No complaints. Nice dealership and friendly team - leagues ahead of the local Citygate VW dealership down the road.
I have no reason to go anywhere else currently especially whilst the car is still in warranty. |

Thanks JDC, good to know they've been good for you on the service side.
For me the purchase was great. They were very professional and the sales rep went over and above as he knew I had a time constraint and had the car ready within 24hrs of it being unloaded off the delivery lorry! I'm just hoping that the same ethic and approach applies to their service team now! |
