The Canadian configurator has an option for 'Individual Shadowline Headlights' which I don't see in the BMW USA website.

The car really does grow on you after a while.
It looks really menacing in all black which admittedly hides the large grille.

I thought the grille was growing on me... until I looked on the configurator. When you can see it from every angle, and every color, you realize how god-awful it looks.

Funny how some people are coming around to the car. I personally loved it from the beginning and I still think it is going to be a huge hit for BMW's target demographic. Hint: Its not the enthusiast community.

Also, I built the car out to around $70K, that seems kinda expensive, no? In that case a fully loaded M4 may cost close to $100K

I don't mean this in a contentious or sarcastic way, but, if not the enthusiast community, what demographic do you believe BMW is targeting with this model? Base 430s will be mid- to upper $40K (USD), and M440s will be in the $60-$70K range. Would many non-enthusiasts with that kind of budget be looking for a 2 door coupe?

No worries, valid question. But my response is a wholeheartedly, yes. Around NYC and Long Island you see many nice cars and you talk to the owner and they have no idea what they have. They just like the look, the badge and performance.

I was talking to a friend the other day. His friend bought a new Lamborghini Evo because it looked great! Knew nothing about the car or the model. But then again, that's how manufacturers make their money.

Honestly the grille has grown on me and I began to think it's look great.
Initially I really thought this was as big of a fumble as Acura's infamous beak..
As polarizing as the front, I'm a little disappointed the rest of the exterior is not haha.

Configured mine. Very close spec to my M340i. Won't get one, but this is about as hidden as the grill is going to get in a non-black color IMO.

Only on 30i, weirdly not available on 40i. Still pretty ugly though (car and color) would much prefer BMW actually make the forbidden red concept color!

It's pretty sad when the best compliment one can give this car is a "it's starting to grow on me"... or "it looks the best when it's black and you can barely see it". That's not a good start for a 70k + CDN coupe

Longer, heavier, more expensive and ugly. What a home run for BMW.

I have the ventilated seats in my 530e. If I have been exercising, and then get in a hot car, I can feel the air. otherwise, no.

So it is not like air conditioned seats. Just some air blowing through it.
