I was cruising down the highway over the weekend when I suddenly felt the engine cutout and got a Drivetrain Malfunction error on the info display. I pulled over and used my JB4 to read the codes: 190302 (air leak) and 120308 (low boost pressure) along with 120408 (reduced power mode). It seems a boost leak was the issue so I popped the hood and quickly found the culprit, a hose clamp came off my FTP charge pipe. Not sure how I didn't manage to tighten it when I installed the charge pipe but glad it was an easy fix. I'll be keeping an eye on it but I attribute the issue to installation error rather than failure of the clamp.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to try doing my FTP charge pipe tomorrow.

Yup, reinstalled the clamp, cleared the codes and I've been good to go

This is for the F30 - Not sure about the screw sizes, but almost identical process.

Also, could I ask if you unplugged your battery when installing the chargepipe? I did that when I installed the JB4 and was wondering if its necessary to do that with the chargepipe install as well.

Okay. I might just end up disconnecting the battery because I don't want to mess with any sensitive electronics in the engine bay while power is running through (might risk shorting them out with static(?)). Thanks for responding quick though
