I'm still on my first set of CSG C21/C11 that I put on in February. I've done ~12 hrs of track time according to my catalyst, and front and rear pads still have 6-7mm remaining. Front rotors do look like they've been through a war, so they'll be replaced along with the pads in maybe 3-ish more track days.
Their performance and longevity have justified the price for sure. |

That's a bit disappointing. I've reached out to Carbotech's as I really liked the XP8/10 REAR w/ XP12 FRONT matching on my previous vehicle, which has similar curb weight to M340i and I would constantly get 4-5 track days with them. They weren't overly noisy and performed really well on and off the track. Waiting for them to get back to me and I'll give them a try as well.

I just kept replacing HC-CS pads every 4-5 track days on my M3 because I didn't want to deal with metallic paint eating dust and loud squealing. And as you say, paying in yen is cheap compared to US prices. The M340i is happy on the street with occasional spirited driving on PS pads. I ran the Endless RF650 and Project Mu G-four fluid before. The Endless is much better. PMU fluid has a higher boiling point but it goes mushy faster. I've stuck to SRF because its easy to get here. The pedal feel also recovers between sessions unlike other fluids after they overheat. That said, they do get mushy mid session so have to work around it.

The Endless pads are unfortunately made to order, so that will take some planning. Also considering the PMU 999. But, not sure if I will be tracking this car next year, or if I'll be switched over to something dedicated by then, so we'll see! |
