Hi

So I was thinking about this retrofit (front calipers & discs) and I will was looking for insights like :

. Is it worth it in terms of on money & results ? Or
Getting some better break pads for the M Sport break would be as good?

. I'm aware about the extra weight but not worried since I don't track, but would it for 19 inches?

If anyone had done it or has another setup that brings more breaking power for our M340 (2020), let us know.

What kind of driving are you doing that is taxing the stock M-Sport brakes?

I'm running stock pads and rotors on my M-sport brakes, with steel lines from Turner and Motul RBF 660. I regularly drive on the Autobahn and spend a couple weekends at the Nürburgring every year... I've yet to see brake fade.

Would lapping a road circuit be a different story? More than likely.

That said, if you're not even tracking the car, what's the point of going to 395mm?

That's why I'm asking around... I use RBF600, no steel lines and hawk street pads.

I find the pedal a bit sluggish and feel like it's not grabbing like it should. Since I drove a 911, I find the breaking awful and trying to find an alternative.

In the process, bringing such big caliper would fill the wheel nicely as well.

395mm 4 piston is bolt on fitment, however it will not fit under stock 19” G2x wheels.

I find the 348mm brakes to be very poor, having just come to a G21 M340i from a F31 330d, on which I converted the brakes to 400mm front and 380mm rear.

I will be upgrading mine in due course - most likely to the Gx M car 6 piston front caliper

You will have no issue with 395mm 4 piston calipers with 19" APEX VS-5RS - those were the wheels that I ran on my F31, and they cleared my 6 piston / 400mm set up without issue.

Thx for your feedback, I'm actually checking for a quote for APR brakes 6 pistons 380mm as an alternative also
