KW V2 Review - 2020 M340 - Daily - Autox

Car is a 2020 M340i Xdrive.
-Old setup: H&R Springs, Dinan Handling kit (which is just bump stops and dust covers) and factory everything else, non-adaptive.

Issue with the H&R Springs:
I really disliked the ride quality. They hit bump stops very hard at medium to large bumps. During autox they handled fine but on the faster parts of the course the rear would unsettle.

-New setup: KW V2 installed 2 months ago with stock everything else, 45k miles.
I can't emphasize this enough... it should've come like this from factory. The ride is comfortable but if you run over a pebble, you'll notice if you're paying attention and you won't if you're not. Great as a daily and best of all, they have never hit bump stops or if they have, I could not tell. I'm going to bend a wheel because I forget I should dodge cracks or bad manhole covers. Finally got to autox on these last weekend and they were very good, even the instructor that role along was very impressed and is recommending a set for his son's car. The best description of a suspension change is: I forgot about it. They did their job and I could focus on driving.

I bought them from BMP Tuning but I believe they ship direct from KW. I forget how long but arrived faster than expected.

Overall I would recommend these to anyone using a G20 for mostly daily duty. But I have no doubt they would handle the occasional track day and then provide a relaxing ride back home.

I'll add some pictures and autox videos once I figure out a good way to share it. But if you what to know the height just look at any H&R spring installs.

If there is anything else you'd like to know just ask.

Thx for the feedback, how much you dropped it since you X drive? Not over 1 /1.2"..1.5" if feeling adventurous.

On what level did you set the dampening?

Visually it looks similar as H&R springs so around 1.3inches, maybe a little more. I asked for fender just above tire.

Not sure what my shop set them to, I can check in October when I switch to winter wheels. I only gave them a description of how I use the car and that I prefer softer feeling suspension.
