Whelp, time to get Pure 800 turbo. Shucks.
Not sure what happened. Things can break. Even engines/vehicles with a very good track record for reliability can have issues. Maybe you were just not lucky. But then again, it's being covered under warranty & replaced for free at 30K. I'd say you are lucky, good thing you weren't out of warranty and/or tuned. Good luck with everything. |

It's not common but it happens. Across multiple platforms. Turbos are just like that. Like if the wheels aren't balanced well from the factory, the bearings pre maturely wore, etc. It's unfortunate. Hope it all works out for you.

I wonder if this would be covered under the 8yr/80k mile emissions warranty? Would definitely mess up the emissions if the turbo was out of whack.
