According to a BMW Blog report, 2 and 3 series cars with a scheduled production date in Mexico before May 1 are price protected. BMW Blog cites a bulletin to dealers. Don't know if I can post a link here, but you can do a web search.
My M340 supposedly is in "final assembly" now. Good luck BMW shoppers.

Mercedes hasn't officially said anything yet to their dealer network other than saying they are "monitoring" the situation. If you think car sales was bad before, it's about to get even worse for something that was already too expensive.

I've got a 440i on the way with a march production date. This is a huge relief to me. I've never even interacted with BMW before but this bought a lot of goodwill.

The article is only talking about the 2 and 3 series cars which are built in Mexico. They dont comment on anything for Germany which is where the 4 series is built.

This is a good sign however as they appear willing to do right by the customer in the uncertainty which will likely save them from an absolute plummet in sales. I dont know of a customer that is willing to take an up to 25% price increase risk.

The car market will likely get interesting even if the tarrifs dont hit. The uncertainty has to be taking a toll on sales during tax season.

Asked the same question of my salesman. He stated that all BMW dealers ships have a 30 reprieve and that anything already ordered is safe.

Yeah. Mine's not covered in that particular, but there's no reason to think BMW would be "Screw you in particular" to 4 series orders in the case of an EU tariff rollout.
