The M2’s is more fluent. Look at the G20s “whiskers” starting at the headlight crease and running straight through the horizontal bumper line. A bit cat fish like in these pix. Then you have a strange chrome insert opening in the outer edge of the large outer air openings. A lot of things going on under the lights and kidneys.

The front fascia is just way too busy. The G20 M Sport LCI will definitely get a revised front bumper. Hopefully the M3 looks a lot better.

The white Sport-line bumper looks like a Photoshop experiment gone wrong. |

Don’t get me wrong, M-sport is a given from the upgrades of the suspension alone then add the nicer steering wheel and what looks like very supportive seats I would not pass for any fugliness in the exterior and as you say the Sport-line looks worse. I strongly suspect the M-sport will look more than ok in the flesh but on these pix it’s not an immediate “aaah nice!” looking bumper for me.

At least from what we've seen of the prototypes they're not sticking halogen turn signals into the pre-LCI G20s. Now that would be gross. |

Yeah, that is most likely the case. I checked 330i with sport auto and it renders the same shifter as a regular automatic.

Sure hope it's an error... no shifter on SPORT auto!?... even on an auto I'd still use the shifter... hate paddle shifters.... I'm old school

Agreed. Looks like a longer roofline as well as wheels moved outward to reduce overhangs go a long way to a somewhat sleeker profile. That's a good thing. These renders show a good - but not bold - step forward for the 3er. Fingers crossed.

Also I reckon the rear lights will appear better on a silver car as the silver/clear area (which look a bit too harsh for me) will blend into the colour of the car!! Which country's configurator was this on? |

My first opinion (trying to see through the rather naff flat looking configurator images)...
1) Nicely updated interior/dash 2) Rear lights rather austere looking (hopefully better in the metal) 3) Grille surround very heavy looking to me (again hopefully better in the metal) 4) Full digi display clearly a cost option 5) Nice new aggressive front air-dam for M Sport... looks good 6) Crease running up into headlight notch on M Sport gives a really nice aggressive edge to car's appearance |

Love the M-Sport front. The line running into the notch between the headlights is nice.

My guess: US version (sidemarkers but no fog lights) vs EU version (no sidemarkers but has fog lights).

Love that the interior door grabs have moved back down to where they should be (as on the e90)... way better than the silly 'strap' grabs in current f30.
Not keen on the way the rear door window stretches back so far... it's much longer than the front door glass... |
