M340 M Performance Exhaust

Hey everyone!

In this time of slowness at work, I was going a stir crazy and had to get out. We had one lovely day of weather in Colorado, so I made a detailed video of the M340 M Performance Exhaust setup. The iPhone videos were okay, but just didn't do it justice! I tried to be as thorough as possible, but if I missed something or if you have questions, post them here! I have about 1800 miles on the car now and can tell you most everything about it.

Lovely system, I hope the video does it justice! It is kinda of vlog style as I am experimenting with making new videos for work, so the sounds and everything starts about 4 minutes in. Enjoy!

Curious any performance gains. My understanding is changes exhaust sounds only

Sounds stock like to me, let's say stock is a 3 in a 1-10 scale in comfort mode and 5 in sport what would you say the mpe exhaust is comparison wise numerically?

That does not sound stock...especially in comfort!

Not bad,ar, M performance exhaust sounds rough and raw, but I prefer the sound of new C43 AMG, it sounds more clear and refined.

Marginal, if anything. Mostly sound, I could only imagine its a little higher flow allowing the engine to breathe easier.

I won't deny any video is harder to fully hear the differences. If I had a decibel meter, you'd see. MPE Comfort is a 5, Sport is a 7.5. There are definitely more aggressive systems you can get, but I would say this has the nicest balance between sport and daily drivability.

I've heard that one too! Same amount of cylinders, but more differences between the two powertrain wise. Sport exhaust on the AMG is pretty darn nice.

Big thanks for doing this! Helps all of us owners one step closer with decision making process and for going over all the combination scenarios. Thumbs up for showing underneath with the M-Performance muffler. The best is actually hearing it in person.

Now on the hunt for videos for the M-Performance exhaust for the B48/ 330...

You're welcome! It really is so much fun, I hear new noises every drive haha.

Haven't seen much on the 330 MPE... none of the cars in my inventory have ever had it.
