Just been out in the car and as I was taking a picture of the new map layout on the live cockpit, I had a notification that my maps had just updated and needed to reboot maps... Anyone else had a maps update??

I updated my maps a few days ago, but used a laptop and usb stick as it was 26GBs. Haven't noticed any difference, but hopefully some of the road layouts have been updated as they didn't have some recent road alterations and it thought I was driving through a field

Just had a software update at the dealer.
Was 03/2019.22 Now 07/2019.39 To date I can confirm that Spotify now works from the cars sim and I have some new icons!! and my map version has also changed Last edited by Xsapper; 08-09-2019 at 08:39 AM.. |

Not sure what's happening. Tried Spotify this morning without my phone in the car and it wouldn't load. Got my phone and it worked when the phone was switched off. Any ideas?

If its the same account, it may be that Spotify thought it was running on the phone. Only one device can play per account simultaneously. That's my guess anyways.

I decided to remove Spotify from my phone as I only use it in car. Seems to be working fine from the cars sim card. happy days.

Hi all,
Long term lurker at wits end. I'm running 2019/03.60, and now aware of an update after trying to purchase connected music and trawling the forums. I don't have caring car yet nor Spotify and a few menu niggles I'd like ironed out. I called the seller (Cardiff) dealer who have no news on this update, called my local dealer (Plymouth) who again know nothing of this update and finally, BMW customer services both general enquires and connected drive help line, who once again could not help. Is there a code/handshake/password/sacrifice to gods I must make to get this update?!! I have a few rattles (in the passenger side seatbelt housing) I plan to use as an excuse to get it in the dealer's door in the near future, maybe I'll get lucky... Am I right in that OTA updates aren't quite ready to into mainstream distribution just yet? |

They dont send out memos to the dealer every time an update is out, I guess it only shows when they are either told the version or they look for it when a car requires it. |

I've got 03/2019.60 at the moment. I e-mailed BMWConnected App they sent me a generic link to a download page on the BMW site which didn't recognise my VIN. I replied to them accordingly and they forwarded my enquiry onto some BMW tech department and suggested I contact my dealer as well.
I phoned my dealer who didn't have a clue what the latest version was, he just said that his computer said I had the latest version. Today, I've had an e-mail back from the BMW tech which says the car will update itself and no update is necessary. They also sent me a link to enter my VIN which just told me the same. Keith |

Car with dealer where they checked the connect logs and saw the errors, basically they cleared the log file and told me to re-pair the phone and if the connect error continues they will perform a firmware update as these are the steps to take before the update is applied.

My Software hasn’t updated in the 5 months I’ve had the car.
Showing 3/2019.22. I’ve tried to use the remote software update but it says update not available fo my car or something similar. Is there anything I can do besides taking it to the dealer ? Thank you. |
