I just got a real good one.... signed 12/31/19

msrp. 61,820

Discount 9,769

Sales price. 52,050

Rebates 3,000

multiple security deposits. 3,500

Upfront charges 2,218. (not sure why but in CT all the dealers upfront costs are in the low 2,xxx range. tax, title, acquisition fee, 1st month etc. No cap cost cash included)

Residual 37,092 (60%)
lease rate. .00128
12,000 miles

$462.80/month including CT sales tax

I think I stole it! With BMW leasing, timing is everything.

I guess now that I have left the world of hard core M, I should consider changing my Bimmerpost name. Truth is I honestly feel the 2020 M340i is the perfect blend of sportiness, performance and comfort wrapped into a very well presented package.

Can't wait to take delivery.

Thats a great deal! Right on par with mine @ 58k msrp 498/mo inc tax but with ZERO drive off + MSD. If you factor $2.2k in drive offs I would be at ~430/mo

Is that discount you listed including the rebates or before rebates?

EDIT: nvm I just calculated it backwords your deal checks out to an effective monthly of ~535/mo inc tax $0das + 3500 MSD. At that sale price I'm getting a $500 discrepency where your monthly should be about 15/mo lower. There must be a strange fee that your state or dealer adds that I'm unfamiliar with. Regardless that is a fantastic deal indeed. Don't forget to do the BMW CCA $500 post sale mail in rebate.

The laughing emoji really rubbed me the wrong way. Why in the world would I ever come on a forum and post fiction? Seriously.

I've had more new BMW's than you have fingers AND toes, and I can afford anything at all I want to buy.

Timing with these deals is everything. You need to be patient. You can't be the first person on your block with the newest, latest, greatest.

I just turned in a 2017 M3 off lease. That car had an msrp of 82K. My monthly lease, no money down, was $691.

Wait until the money factor is close to zero. Wait until the rebates are plentiful. Make sure you qualify for as many of them as possible. Take advantage of multiple security deposits. Develop a long term relationship with a solid dealership. Send them business. Be loyal. Wait until it is year end, month end, presidents day, the 4th of July. Dealers get givebacks from corporate for numbers of cars sold. If your car puts them over the next threshold.... they will give it away to make an extra 500 bucks on each of the other 150 cars they sold that month.

Trust me, BMW (corporate) knows who their long term customers are and they take care of them. Do you have a personal client adviser that has known you and helped you for years in New Jersey (USA headquarters)?

Have you been invited to their M driving school in South Carolina? Have you been invited to tour the plant there?

You have no loyalty. You bounce around. Dealer to dealer. They see guys like you coming. Dealers only have so many real 'deals". They are saved for customers. You are a fish. No deals for guys fishing. Today a BMW, tomorrow a Lexus. You save money on your cars by sitting on plastic. The plastic seats are great until it gets hot in the summer and you sweat through your underwear.

Laugh jackass, and pay through the nose for the car you drive.

Don't mind them brodie. I don't think they meant it in a snarky way. As you said, timing and knowing a good target discount to hit then stacking incentives and a little bit of timing and luck can land you a potential unicorn of a deal. Unfortunately, we need people getting taken for a ride so we can continue to get great deals lol.

And who the fuck are you? Not my problem you had a laughing emoji rub off on you the wrong way you lil crying girl.

You don't know a thing about me, what I can buy, what my payment is, what my financial status is, how many cars I own, how many I've owned.... want me to keep going on?

Sit your whining ass down I don't have time to entertain you, poor guy took it so personal...

I know plenty about you son. Anyone reading your posts knows for certain you are a wannabe.

I have homes on both coasts. Trust me I've got your number. Next time you sweat through your underwear on a hot day sitting on plastic seats you think of me.

The only reason you laugh at the good deals you see being posted is because you are too ignorant to know how to get one.

I'll bet you skipped the adaptive suspension too, lol

Cheers!

You're probably correct, lol.

Truth is the M cars are a little hyper. High strung is a better way to put it. I think BMW knows this and dialed back the M340i to be a better daily driver.

Thanks for the response

I can understand the intent of this topic being posted, but with different discounts being had in different regions, as well as different tax structures in different states, it's unlikely anyone will be comparing apples to apples here.

Only real detail folks have control over during the negotiation process is % off MSRP. Incentives, tax rate, residual, etc. are all locked based on external factors.
