The blue M Sport model has laser lights. Look at the White one.

Well, that sucks. My S5 has it in the glovebox and it really eats into the space. I can't fit the damn owners manual in there! I have to put it in the trunk.

Ugh the rear. The rear is awful. I want my European car to look like a European car... not a Honda, Toyota or Lexus. There is no European character whatsoever.
Maybe I'm just getting old... I'm still trying to accept no 6MT. |

Not really sure how I feel about the M-Sport bumper. Looks like the car is crying.
These squiggly fog lights and mesh grille are just overstyled too. Not sure what trim this is. I think less people would be complaining about the rear if they made the clear section of the taillights thinner. It would make the red L section more pronounced and have more BMW identity. That being said, this looks like a great base/foundation for the M3. And from what we've heard, I can't wait to see what the next 4er looks like. And finally, kudos to the people doing the renders. They got the final look of multiple trim levels like 95% accurate. |

I'm a little disappointed. This looks more like a refresh than a redesign to me. What's up with all the weird scoops, air vents everywhere on the M-sport?? No thanks. I'd like to see what the standard or luxury-line edition sleepers look like.
I was hoping for a more angular design, as was rumored here a couple years back. I would've loved to have seen something like the below - something that moved away from the rounded-ness of the past decade+, and gone more old-school rectangular, a la E39, E46, etc. Oh well: maybe the i4 will fit that bill (fingers crossed). https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1325224 |

Hmm I'm surprised it isn't a more dramatic change. It's not really better or worse just mildly evolved.
But one thing is for sure that rear end is very similar to the Lexus IS. |

They didn’t design the new 3 series last year, usually development and design started 5+ years ago, also those Lexus and Acura design cues was inspired by BMWs in the first place.
The L shaped Lexus Tail lights was clearly from Pretty much all of the F-Chassis era pre LCI BMW designs The lower valence of the Acura was clearly inspired by BMW F Chassis M Sport bumpers. Last edited by kv12; 10-01-2018 at 09:17 PM.. Reason: Adding more to my post |

The more 3D View of the front bumper is way better than that of the configurator render as expected. I also think the car looks ok from the rear but I’m slightly skeptic to the side profile of the rear. The roof line down to the rear bumper is kinda Panameraesque/Pontiac Crossfireish. I think the Panamera is quite a nice looking car but not sure this shape fit a 3-series with it’s traditional upright rear and tall green house with a distinct trunk line. Look at this picture and imagine it without the rear spoiler to see the line I’m talking about.

Hmmm, interior has grown on me slightly but really concerned the new digital dash is too busy and there doesn't appear to be anything there that my F30 doesn't have to tempt me away except for purple lighting!
The exterior hasn't grown on me yet but certainly better than renders. Grilles are disproportionately larger than the lights is a gripe. Side profile best of a bad bunch. Rear has been summer up well by many! |
