My dealer in Belgium confirmed today that 03/2020 is out! I made an appointment on the 3th of April to get it installed. By purpose I do wait one month, just to make sure the major bugs in 03/2020 are fixed already.

Mine has been updated to 03/2020.24 today. However got home and I’ve lost ALL my apps. No weather widget or news all that is showing is emergency assist and I STILL haven’t got Spotify.
It’s a complete farce. First and last BMW. I never, ever had any issues like this with Audi

Can this 3/2020 software update be done without going in to the service department? I know there’s a software update screen in one of the idrive settings and the connected app, but everyone here is talking about going in for service to have it updated.

First, make sure you've check the first option under Data Privacy (it resets sometimes after an update) then reset your idrive by holding down the mute/power button for about 30 seconds until it turns off and on again. After that go to the apps screen, open up the menu on the left that has "Installed Apps" option. Press the options button and choose "Update apps and services".

If this doesn't fix it, you'll need to go back to your dealer

Just checked in the car and the data privacy option (that used to be above mobile devices) has disappeared. So I now can’t even check that.

I had more issues with MMI in my 3 Audi's than I have so far with iDrive.

Tried everything, been through stuff on the phone with BMW tech and he’s baffled. So it’s booked in once again to be sorted. (Hopefully)

I am going in for service on March 12 to get an oil change and camera recall done. Apparently there's also some front axle recall? I will report back on 03/2020 software update.

Can anyone who has it -please confirm if the update erased your seat memory? It took me 6 months to get the settings right and i will be highly upset if i lose it. I would like to know so i can discuss it with my SA prior to giving the car. Thanks!

I asked someone else the question regarding seat memory as well as codings done on the idrive and they said you lose it

When I got mine updated in January I lost my seat settings and other settings.

Next time I put the car in I’m going to give them the spare (other) key which has a different profile linked to it. My hope is that it only effects the profile that is in the car at time of update.....

Hmm, i'm still on the guest profile. I guess I'll just have to speak to the SA beforehand and ask that the tech does not change the seat settings or reset them back before doing the update. I'm sure that's not a lot to ask but.....we'll see.

I'm assuming it updates the entire idrive software, thereby resetting everything?
