Only Apple Maps supports the navigation directions in the instrument panel and HUD for now. Not sure if or when any third party apps will support this feature.

Just dropped my car off at the dealer. They were reluctant to fix any iDrive issues. Had to say it froze/turned off while driving. The SA did say they would update it in the end, so here's hoping it's to 07/2020.

Maybe I should have gone to a smaller, less busy dealer... Been waiting 20 minutes for a loaner. Half a dozen others still waiting, too.

Guys, I have my G20 on stage 2. Do you think this iDrive update will "delete" my remap?

They complained about my dash cam (connected to OBD)... It has a voltage monitor and cutoff, so I doubt that's causing any issues. Officially, 'the car isn't going to sleep and there are codes in there.' I haven't noticed anything wrong with the car since installing the dash cam... The update failed before I got the cam. They said the head unit had to be reprogrammed regardless. Will report back with the update version when I pick it up.

A few people have complained of the ECU being locked again and not being able to flash tune without a bench unlock.

Yea. They were probably looking at blaming something/anything. But at least, they said they'd do the update. My dealer on the other hand....

Good news! I'm now on 07/2020.60.

I thought there would be a separate checkbox for rear DRLs, but there is only one. Both front and rear are on, though, so good enough. Maybe this was changed?
I see CarPlay, but I don't see Android Auto... Android user here. I'll go play with it some more later, and give it time to finish any downloads. Will try resetting iDrive if AA doesn't appear. My phone isn't officially supported, though, so that's another bridge to cross...

Android 11 will support wireless AA as part of the OS. No more waiting for lazy OEM support. Just waiting on Android 11 upgrade for your device.

I should get Android 11 on my LG by early 2021, supposedly. I'll give it a try using developer mode settings tomorrow.

I said just a few because there are only a few people on this forum with tuned cars that also did the update after getting tuned and said their car’s ECU got locked. Not sure about the others since they haven’t chimed in. If my car had a flash tune, I probably wouldn’t get an iDrive update unless I could get it bench flashed at a brick and mortar store since I’m wary of sending my ECU via mail.

Got it! I have the chance to try it and do my remap again if necessary. I will keep you guys updated about it. If someone with remap have information about it, please, let me know!

Update: got it working on my LG G8 on Android 10. Fully working. All apps, with data.

I tried. The SA wouldn't update and even went as far as telling me my car was already up to date with 11/2019.70

Hmm. That's odd. Worked for several people here, myself included. Maybe it's the SA, maybe it's the dealer.

Possible good news for US OTA update? Finally, the release notes for 07.2020 popped up on the connected drive portal in the last day. Found them under the remote software app on the connected drive store. Fingers crossed!!!!
