Finally got the update driving home! Was on 03/2020.69 and updating to 07/2020.80

I wish it was 11/2020 so I could access the updated TLA.

Curious when it updates via OTA does it update hardware firmware for all the vehicles systems that need an update? Assuming yes, just curious if there's a difference between bringing it to the dealer.

Last time they updated my car's software they needed to replace a fan blower afterward.

I have a 2019 330i which I bought in Sept this year. It is on v2019/07 28 & says there is no update available. The connected drive services dont work either

I live in Toronto Canada and have a 2020 M340i production date is 2019 April software version is 03/2020/xx. Went to the dealer couple days ago for oil change and iDrive update. Left my car there for overnight because they having trouble to install 07/2020/xx to my car. So instead they installed the 11/2020/36 to my car.

Changes on 11/2020/36:
1. HUD doesn't show rpm in sport mode(bug) all you have to do is set it on always show rpm in hud.
2. Automatic steering heating below certain temperature is gone, but automatic heated seat is still there(bug)
3. Apple map in CarPlay can display navigation in HUD, but very laggy. Also google map and Waze doesn't work in hud.
4. Now android auto is in the app drawer.
5. Automatic switch camera angles when put in drive or reverse is still a miss.

All in all, android auto is added, but more bugs as well.

Yes, it needs updating with the latest cafd files.

Once it's done, then has to wait for apple to upgrade the update

07-2020 onwards get the new personal assistant improvements, live maps and android auto support.

Oh and improved CarPlay pairing and navigation in the cluster/hud

Cheers for that. Sounds like I am going to have to book it in after Xmas. There are a couple of other things I would like them to look at anyway, the connected drive stuff doesnt work & the glass roof rattles like crazy in warm weather.

I went to my dealer for the roof rattle 3 times. either they don't hear it or all they do is reset the sunroof. never fixed. hopefully u'll have better luck

Yeah I am not expecting much - still got to try. This is the first "premium" car I have owned, didnt expect problems like a sunroof rattle. Still it is a cracking car

2 weeks ago, my car was updated to 11/2020.36 but I don't see Android Auto.
In the apps screen, I only see Apple CarPlay

Do you know why and if it's possible to solve that? According to some posts on X3 forums, Android Auto appeared a few days after the update but it's already two weeks for me...

For me it was the same as I was stuck with 07/2019.30 and never seen any OTA SINCE July 2019. Finally I asked my dealer to update and now I am on 11/2020.45. It was done easy and fast. Nice new features since the update.

I leased my vehicle in July, 2019. Remote Software Update was part of the BMW Connected Package here in the US. It's ludicrous that now halfway through my lease, and Remote Upgrade is not yet available; and when it is, it appears to be available for what is now six-month-old software.

Why such a slow rollout??

Seriously, I'm a first time owner and this is definitely not the best look for them... Coming from an audi, I can decisively say audi customer service has been far superior. I love my car but the service is not up to what I thought a German luxury brand would be. Really want to trade in my m340i for the next m2c but we'll have to see how this works out.

Climate Control
Preconditioning / ventilation
Remote Engine Start and then
check option for "Starting engine for clim. control"

There is an 11/2020.80 released? I thought the latest was 11/2020.45. When did the dealership update you? I just had mine updated last week.
