Yep.... got it into the car. Wouldn’t start install. Charged battery and went for a run still won’t install.....

Only thing I can see (from the manual) that would stop it is that ambient temp has to be above -10C.

Hi,

While on a trip yesterday, got notified of new update; of course, couldn't do it while driving. Today, I installed version 11/2020.50 and noticed:
* Still had climate rules/habit (for both driver seat & steering wheel)
* Nothing on front passenger seat rule
* Did not have M Laptimer App on iDrive
* Automatic camera feature is working fine (not sure whether they fixed it or @ifr fix still stuck)

Haven't seen anything on Alex, but have had Alexa linked to Connected drive for some time -- doesn't do much of anything, anyways. It's still early and haven't driven car anywhere YET

Of course, now have the custom coding to do -- no big deal

UPDATE: Just got back from a short run for a couple of errands. Car now has an M Laptimer app, but still no passenger seat climate rule/habit

FURTHER UPDATE: The HUD Tach bug is STILL there; that is to say, after the OTA update, Tach in HUD ONLY works in ALL MODES and not in SPORT ONLY. Additionally, M Laptimer is only for iPhone

Hi,
Did upgrade to 03/2021.30 on dealership. everything normal and no errors so far. It says that for Portugal and 2 other countries the upgrade had auto Lane Change Assistant but my car is from 06/2019 so i have never had even the Upgraded driver view so none of them on my car still.

Alright so:
Yes i have the tach in all Modes, sport,conf, eco and in the photo you can see that i can select to see on HUD all the time or only in Sport.
That time lap is the new app added. i don´t care cause im not going to a race track with a 320D plus i have Android.

Considering to buy the Bimmercode to have the assistant driver view knowing that its not possible to get the auto lane change cause Bimmercode does not read the all ECU, lacking the SAS2 module.
Maybe in the future like the Bimmercode boss said.

My G21 330i just got updated to the latest 11/2020.50.

However, I was not able to change the default driving mode using bimmercode. It does not show up in the list.

Anyone with the same problem? As expected it erased all my previous coding but this one I was not able to change again.

I've changed the default driving mode using bimmercode couple of weeks ago. Same software version. No problems here.

So does it mean they have not managed to fix the HUD bug in 03/2021?? Well then my question would be if they are even aware of this bug... Which was the update which brought us this issue? 03/2020?

Which 2 other countries as mine doesn't have the Lane Change Assistant option?

Portugal, France and Spain do have the Lane change assistant after upgrade (due some legal reasons). But If I'm not mistaken, you would need some newer version of radar components availble in builds after 05/2020 or so.

It will update any ecu that has changed. Sometimes that will include the DME, sometimes it won't.

Charged again yesterday. Went for a run this morning..... no install. Popped into town this afternoon and when I got home it said it was good to go. Now updated and all good.



It is a bit of a pain that it appears to be really dependant on battery charge status.

Got the new my BMW app as a request to download in the play store.. Its Filled with tech bugs.. way worse than the connected drive app thus far. Cannot even login. BMW should have never released this app until they got it straight and ready for U.S.A. customers. Its been in Europe for a year now. Thought that would be plenty of time to get it right.. I guess not!

Is anyone aware if the Update flashes the DME to were it doesn't allow to be tuned? I'm looking into a DME flash but I'm concern The update will patch whatever is used to tune the DME

Installed the 11/20 update today. after install it I started up and started to drive.... Realized the alarm was ringing while I was driving and the headlights and tail lights flashing and alarm "clown nose" was flashing I got out to look, alarm ringing and clown nose flashing looked like it was a police car. lol. Also, the Alarm is Much Lower Sound compared to my 2017 340 which was very loud... Anyone else know if they lowered the alarm sound volume or is my alarm no good? I restarted and all was well except I lost Pops and Burbles and the mirror settings were changed and had to re-aim and no lap timer and no tach in the HUD anymore and its checked. I should of never installed it. Can not understand why every update they push out always has some issue. Does anyone else have any of these issues and know how to resolve the Tach in HUD, Alarm Sound Volume Adjustment, Thanks

Here is my (not so good) experience of software things.

About two months ago my car was at normal service. Before this service the car was complaining energy lost. The reason for this was that car didnt go sleep mode when parking. So they updated software. Everything was supposed to be ok. But after that update car was really terrible to drive: throttle lagging and transmission was working really strange. Car didnt also read speed signs anymore, doors didnt lock when driving and driving mode + welcome sign stick in the screen until you push back button. So car went back to the dealer for a new update.
After second update there were no lagging and it was good to drive again etc..but..car still didnt read speed signs. At this point dealer decided to ask the manufacturer for instructions on what to do.

Now after third update the car seems to works as it should

I think my car will not be updated in any way for a while after this...

03/2021.50 is out there and, among others, seems to bring Alexa integration.
