ETA and mileage to destination in instrument panel

For the first time ever yesterday when setting a route in NAV a small box appeared in the central instrument cluster with a chequered flag with ETA and mileage to destination. This was on top of the next junction or turning detail. Never seen that before.

Can't for the life of me get this to appear again.

Any ideas?

Did you change the centre of the instrument cluster from map to route guidance?

Using navigation through Apple CarPlay / Android Auto can automatically switch it to route preview as well.
