Great review as always from them, and that intro was hilarious. I definitely agree that if you want an ultimate driving machine, look to the 2-series and M2C.

Do you mean the last generation RWD 2 series?

Yes, the current generation 2-Series Coupe and Convertible (not to be confused with the FWD based 2-Series Gran Coupe) are best examples of "The Ultimate Driving Machine."

I had an M2C 6MT for about 8-months (totaled) and it was a fantastic car, best BMW currently on sale.

Anyone notice the exhaust sounded very quiet even in sport mode compared to the 340i?

This is a MY21 model with the 48V mild hybrid system. I fear that the latest M340i is going to sound the same which is disappointing.

I love these guys and enjoy their reviews, always feel between the two of them they give a honest review.

Surprisingly though, I slightly disagree with them a bit on this one. I actually just got back from the dealer today and seen this car in person. I'll just say pictures and videos can really make this car look worse than it is. The grill definitely did not look as huge in person and actually works well with the proportions when the Msport version is added on. Without it, it does look somewhat odd. I feel pictures make the whole car look pretty huge but it really isn't. The Black paint and contrasting colored grill probably does make this one look a bit worse.

I didn't drive the 4 series but I imagine it being very similar to the m340i I test drove today. I definitely see an improvement with the steering feel compared to my F30. Really nice and heavy. The interior was also very nice and the seats were very comfortable and everything felt more roomy. Infotainment system definitely confused me but the large screen was nice and I'm sure I can learn it. Plus the car just looks so good with the lines, much better in person.

I do admit though that I was a bit underwhelmed with the drive. The sound was amazing but I felt as though I didn't get that wow factor when pushing the gas. I mean it's very fast, but I only knew that because of the speedometer. I was at least expecting that same feeling I get in my f30 where you push the gas and you somewhat get thrown back but I didn't even get that. It may be because I was being a little more reserved since it was just a test drive but I did put it in Sports Mode and took it down an empty road pushing the throttle. Hoping to maybe give it another drive before deciding.

Great review! But I have to ask, is the 4 really over 2 tons?? I'd like to say the best figure for my RWD was 3,850 (which is plenty heavy in my estimate!)

BMW's US website says 3977lbs for M440ix, so pretty much just a hair under 2 tons.

More weight is not what I think of when I think "more car."
