While there are many ways of doing it....a good time-tested approach is to apply heat (hair dryer as an example) and then slide fishing line behind the badge. Any excessive adhesive left behind can typically be balled up with your finger as long as its still warm. The remaining residue can be removed using a micro-fiber towel and a paint friendly adhesive remover. Easy breezy.

I think you take them all off or leave it be but whatever.
However if you take off the M and leave 340i then I think you are essentially saying I bought an inferior car that doesn't deserve the badge the manufacturer deemed appropriate - I'm ashamed of this M and I know the car and I aren't worthy. |

I feel the same way. the m sport / performance body kits I hate. would love to just get all the performance stuff without it. I'm not trying to look extra aggressive like some kid who put a body kit on his civic

I've removed badges with floss before. you don't even have to heat them up, the OEM ones on some makes use the same 3m tape you can just buy and they aren't that hard to remove. you'll have to use something to remove the sticky residue though and maybe a Polish after. |

If Debadging, regardless of the reason, it should be done as soon as possible with new cars to avoid paint around the badges fading at different levels.
