This is BMW jumping the shark for probably the tenth time.

Rough crowd lol. I'm not sure what to think. I'll have to wait and see the car in person and stare at it for a couple days. I will say I've always thought the F80/82 entire front end would be hard to beat. And I mean that in a good way. But then after looking at renderings and leaks of new model (which I don't particularly care for) then go back and look at F80 the grill looks a bit dated and too small. Something in between would have been nice. This is going to be quite a change regardless. Can't wait....

I known from the start I like the look of this new design though and I don’t expect to be disappointed I don’t much like the G30 LCI, it made the car look more business and less sport. Old man executive look. |

Lol good one. And maybe right but I thought about this for a few minutes. For me MB and Audi just don't spin my sprockets as fast as BMW. (Although I have seen and heard some RS7 fast backs that are so sweet).
There is something about the rough and tumble hard core M cars that those two brands just do not possess. At least for me anyway. M division of BMW must be run by a bunch of crazy German cowboys in suits lol. If I wasn't driving an M car I would prolly be in Mustang GT350. And I'm 61. That says a lot about me and the emotion of what Im looking for in a performance car. I suspect many feel the same and for that reason alone will not leave the BMW brand. Regardless of what the new grill looks like. |

I'm with you, as I like the new design language. Living in SC, there is no front license plate, only a rear plate. Bring on the lung grill!

One thing I'm interested in figuring out is if you can offset-mount a license plate via tow hook hole or something. If people are forced to slap a plate in the middle of that grill...yeesh.

I thought the US was one of BMWs biggest markets. A front US license plate will look AWFUL on that grille.
