I can never understand why people want to add so much crap to their key. I leave mine as is. No other keys or accessories attached to it. It's big enough as it is IMO.

screw keys and fobs, give me a powerful app . the one now is so basic
BTW I thank god for teslas. Without them the good old boys network of the auto industry would be just fine saying well we put in bluetooth what else do you need. Now that crap won't fly and they have to actually innovate. They are a long way away still... |

Does anyone use their phone for opening/closing/starting the car? I have it set up and ready just in case my traditional key is lost but I can't imagine relying on the phone exclusively.

When I carry my keys, I've got this because I like having a small Swiss Army knife and a spare key in case somebody uses the non-electronic lock by accident.

This is evident by taking a Model 3 AWD to 100mph(not that confident inspiring) vs. a M340i AWD to 100mph(surely footed and planted). Unless Tesla can get FSD to work 100%(and Musk already said the latest FSD is not that great), and assume full liability in FSD, I prefer a good handling car like a BMW. |
