Speed Bump Scuff
Hi,
Whilst cleaning the car today I noticed a very small scuff on the bottom lip of the front bumper. On the underside, not visible, very small, bit I know it's there! Really can't recall anything, other than speed bumps which might of caused it. And do take great care travelling over them. Cars not modified or lowered, so a little frustrating. Has anyone used somebody like Chipsaway for minor bumper touch ups? How good has the results been? Cheers all. |

Pulling too far into a space with a hard to see high kerb is the usual culprit. They seem to make kerbs in car parks just the right height to damage front lips.

Do you not feel like touching it in yourself? Especially since you say it’s underneath and not visible.
I bought the Chipex touch-up paint for mine since BMW didn’t do the touch-up paint for my colour. Have to say the Chipex paint is a perfect match and no need to bugger about with separate lacquer topcoat either! |

Thanks. Fairly sure it wasn't a kerb as I always reverse in.
I've got a BMW touch up kit, so may try myself, as yes it can't be seen. Suppose the risk is I'd have it repaired, then catch it again, state of the roads around here it's only a mater of time before a good sized stone catches the bumper..... |

I know what you mean. I recently found the slightest of scoreline and scuff on the f/o/s alloy on my car and can only put it down to a pothole and/or a raised drain cover, I really don't know and like you that bugged the hell out of me, so much so that I did my own 'smart repair' on the rim because it didn't warrant a refurbishment, it wasn't that visible to be honest to anyone but me every time I washed the bloody car!

Do you ever feel that some cars are fated..........
Despite parking as far away as possible from the next car today, the driver next to me still got out and banged his door into my car whilst I was stood next to mine. Frustrating to say the least and caused a small dent......then when he tried to argue, I was pleased I didn't punch him....... Anyway it's done now.........can I ask if anyone has had experience and success of getting a small dent pulled out?? Cheers |

Lucky paint work looks fine........
It's right on the curved profile half way up the rear pass door. Unless the car is bubble wrapped, that profile looks like it would be the first point of contact... |

I've used Dent Devils numerous times over the past few years and like Bianchi Dave my local guy is an absolute magician when it comes to getting dents out, even on the swage lines. So long as the paint finish isn't broken they can usually get them out without much of any problem.

My car was at the BMW Bodyshop last year and when I went collect it some twastard had put a tiny dent right on the swage line of the front passenger door. The bodyshop accepted responsibility as it had happened whilst it was parked up outside the premises awaiting my collection and reimbursed me the cost as they agreed for my Dent Devils contact to do the cosmetic repair. Getting a dent out of a swage line is an absolute pig of a job but the guy did it…brilliant result. |

......yeah do annoying........I even left him extra space as there no lines in the car park......
But my mistake was he had a 3 door.........my Dad always said never park next to a 3 door (sorry to those that have them). Got over the damage, just now the grief of getting it sorted. |
