Feedback on the Sao Paulo Yellow G82 M4 Competition shown at Monticello M Track Days!

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I'm happy to confirm that BMW showed a beautiful Sao Paulo Yellow M4 Comp to a very anxious crowed during the morning session at Monticello. They even commented on reading this thread and being amused by the speculation.

They had a security team escort 4 people at a time into a private viewing area after handing over all electronic devices. There they had a BMW team available to answer questions.

The car makes a statement for sure. Especially in that outstanding yellow color. The grills are enormous and by my taste seem unnecessary and out of place compared to the rest of the car. Carbon roof, diffuser, amazing quad exhaust finished very similar to the M8 Comp. I was so impressed by the interior. The optional carbon seats were a pale blue and body color and looked stunning.

M Track Days is already one of the best ways to spend 4 hours and $500. Being one of the first people in the US to see the M4 is icing on the cake.

I've owned 4 F8X, currently in a M4 CS. And chances are I'll deal with the stupid grill and hope to compliments aggressive looks with a lip or something.

Nice! What questions did they answer? Anyone ask when the xdrive option will be available?

Did you drive the M4 CS to the event again this year? I think we were in the same group last year.

Ah...that’s so awesome.
How did you like the wheels? Did it have the two tone type with polished rim? Also did it have the track package with the Cup tires?

So BMW wasn't talking release dates or options. Only that it would be released...soon. Maybe another member had better luck squeezing that info out of them.

The wheels were gloss black multi spoke with deep concavity in the rear which looked perfect balancing off all the gloss black trim.

I've been doing this event for 4 years and each year managed to show up in a different M car so I likely wasn't in your group last year if you drove with a CS owner. This car is new as of April.

I don’t mind that actually!!

I had Phoenix with kiwi on my e46 vert and literally not one of my mates liked that combo.

I like some unusual combos, one of the best M4’s I’ve seen was a vert wih Austin yellow and full sakhir interior. Looked ace!

that's a little too wild for my taste but I guess they're throwing it back to that color combo!

I saw the G82 today. I was very impressed. The renders out there are close, but still a bit far from the pre-production model.

So 3/4 of the car looks amazing. The front grill is still a bit getting used to. It does not look as bad in person than in the pictures. The hood integrates with the grill making 2 bumps, which give it an aggressive look, and makes it look a little better than the renders. It will likely be an eyesore in certain colors.

The side profile is fantastic. It does not have a large vent like the renders suggest, it's kind of like the 1M, with a smaller vent like the previous M3/4s. It looks fast from the side.

The rear looks very aggressive. The exhausts are HUGE in a good way.

What I really liked was that the entire bottom of the car, side skirt, essentially was gloss black.

Wheels were incrementally changed. They look similar to the 666m wheels but gloss black, and look easier to clean.

Interior looks amazing, the seats are two tone, but the seats look like they may be very uncomfortable. Very exaggerated bolsters, and a little carbon fiber divot between your legs. Again, look amazing, don't look comfortable.
I didn't get the best look in the rear, but it seemed to suggest that you could have 3 passengers in the rear.

The yellow was stunning.

So the color yellow/green is so bright. I honestly asked if it was a concept color because I cannot believe it's going to production. Not in a bad way...it's a statement and will likely be the stand out color of this generation.

The seats are a pale blue/grey with that ultra bright highlighter yellow green accents and it actually works. Again...I couldn't believe it was a production car.

This color combo is not my taste, but it fits the launch car with this in your face front end. It would be a much different car in all black.

Tying this thread to the green M3 sighting... did the car you saw have the carbon ceramic brakes (yellow caliper) or traditional steel (blue) ? One person was told the ccbs were standard with the comp pack

Did you see it at the driving event in NY?
