The 14' Q40 and Q60 were the sweet spot because they were essentially one trim of leftover G37's that Nissan tried to sell (like the Rogue select), those still had excellent hydraulic steering, and because they used a new nameplate they are excellent used buys because they depreciate more than the regular G, all because of a change in badging.

I don't understand how Nissan fell so hard and fast...
I had this exact car lol, in fact, I learned to drive stick on this car lol. I bought it without knowing how to drive manuals. Imagine, all the honking and cursing i got lol when the car stalled at the lights. You sure has brought back those traumatic memories.

LOL those cars were awesome back then! I had already learned manual on my old 1986 Honda Prelude, so the Maxima was a breeze! Still, it was so awesome that the higher HP V6 option came with a manual! Loved every bit of that car (until the electrical gremlins started popping up). I can't even count on all my fingers and toes how many cars I've had since then

Did you guys have fuel injector problems on yours? After the 105k miles mark, my fuel injectors just started failing repeatedly and this was supposedly a common problem on that generation of maxima. I unfortunately had the automatic one, which was still fun. Eventually i completely blew out my transmission and that was the end of that blissful, automatic seatbelts from the future having, 4DSC.

I never had fuel injector problems, but my tranny did fail at about 58k miles, so JUST before the powertrain warranty ended thankfully. It ran pretty good until about 125k when I started having issues with the fuel pump and alternator fairly frequently and some electrical components (my gauges and all other lighting would randomly stop working so I would have to keep a big bag of spare fuses on hand at all times lol). The OEM spoiler also started to rust and rot out the trunk (common issue with that gen with the spoiler). Otherwise it was a fun car! I had white on black leather...near luxury to be honest for the time.

very nice, i had a white with beige interior. I've actually thought about finding a cheap used one and restoring it since it was my first ever car. But they're surprisingly super hard to find anywhere.
