I for one love it. The more I look at it the more I like it. From some angles it reminds me of my old E90. I'm waiting to see how it drives. If the steering and handling are there, it's my next car, in some sort of Silver color and RWD.

Yes - Looking better cant't wait to see this in person.
That said my 3 disappointments in order are: 1 - front grill design 2 - overall size 3 - electric handbrake Would I daily drive as a 3 yr lease - Yes Would I keep this long term in my garage - No Not having much enthusiasm for G80 vs every other generation of M3. G80 is faster but seems less sporty and focused if that makes any sense. The difference between M3 and M5 is so small now I'd rather have the better looking and V8 M5 for this generation. |

The difference between an M3 and an M5 is small? I hope not. I haven't driven the M5, but I'm not that excited about a big heavy car that goes fast in a straight line. The baseline for me is the M2. The M3 has to be close to the M2 in terms of handling and fun. |

That is a 2.7% increase in length. I don't see that as a substantial difference in terms of attacking the twisties. I am an intermediate level track driver and I certainly could be wrong but I am mostly concerned about weight changes. The car has grown exactly a foot (the E46 was 187") in 16 years. Could be worse I suppose.

I dunno, I feel the G80 is gonna be a bit on the bigger and heavier side unless they decide to use a lot of CF to help make it lighter than the F80. The F80 was a good tweener since the E90 was a bit small for a sedan. Tho the E92 was the perfect size for a mid size coupe. Wasn't the F80 the first time they made the newer car lighter than it's predecessor? Hopefully that's in the cards for the G80 as well.
