M340i delivered

Unfortunately, Covid hit my biz somewhat, and I got rid of two vehicles within five months - an F90 M5 2019 and an X4M C. Coming from those two vehicles, I am happy going into the M340i. BMW did a great job on this current 3 Series, and I will be saving a lot of money monthly. I must say that the F90 was and unbelievable car though. The X4M's issue was 11MPG!. I'm not cheap by any means, but 11MPG worse than my past M5. That I will not miss.

Sorry to hear that your business has been hit by the pandemic. I'm sure you will find yourself right at home with the M340i. It's not a huge "downgrade" by any means.

This.

Bmw hit it out of the park with the M340i. Since it doesn't say M3 on the back people scoff at it. To me it is by far the best bang for your buck performance sedan.

Bmw just did a terrible job at marketing it

Thank You guys for reassuring on the M340i. I test drove the car prior to getting it and thought it would be a good vehicle for me. I wanted to stay with BMW, as I have had them for years.

I meant in the context of having to sell your cars as a result of your business having a hard time...

So you got rid of the M5, got the X4M. Then sold that one and purchased M340I. Curious how long did you have the X4M for?

Congrats, though I know this is bittersweet. I'm interested to hear your comparison of the F90 and G20. You get RWD or XDrive?

Never had the pleasure to drive the M340i but the M5 I did. No doubt that that the 3 is the better all day car with real world performance and real world money. But the M5 is so addictive...

I did get RWD 340i. compared to the F90 well lol, great daily driver the m340 .great looking car as well . The M5 was a powerhouse. car pulled hard, but what can you expect from that engine and HP. I do miss it not going to lie. but i do like the M340. BMW did a great job on this 3 series. I'm going to sit tight for a while and if my biz comes back which I'm hoping, it may be time for the M8 Competition Gran Coupe. Well see.

Glad to hear you're loving the car! It's def not a "real" M but the performance and daily abilities are hard to beat for the price.

Hope your business picks back up- I also own my own business and thankfully have weathered the storm pretty well so far but I know plenty who haven't.

Firstly, good luck with your business. Interested in your feedback on the X4M other than poor fuel mileage? I considered selling both cars and just getting an X4M (given it’s versatility) but ended up keeping our station wagon and getting the M340i as a second car. Sounds like I made the right decision.

Definitely a good decision. I find having cars that meet a different need rather than piling all your eggs in one basket to be more satisfying in the end. I looked at an X3M but found it too compromised. Not good in traffic, and not as fun in the corners, and too uncomfortable to drive daily with the harsh ride (caused my dog to throw up and bark/whine, and the wife loves him more than me so his comfort was more important than mine, and he rides in the car once a week, and I can't take that much throw up ) Anyways, with that combo you have one vehicle for fun, and one for space and practicality, rather than trying to get one vehicle that tries to do both but is fundamentally compromised... of course this would all have been solved if BMW released an M wagon.

Nice ride! I love that black and white. Also, hopefully your biz will be able to bounce back. These are some difficult times.
