Coding off front fog lights

Looks like I'm going to be the first person who did a fog delete on a 330i M-Sport.
Already ordered the parts and I'm going to dealership since the whole bumper has to be removed. They said it won't be a problem.
Only thing that concerns me is the coding part.
I hope they will do the VO coding and completely remove them so I don't have to deal with any fault codes in the future.

If somehow they won't be able to do it, I was thinking about doing it myself through Bimmergeeks Protool or Esys Ultra.
In the past I only did FDL coding through Bimmercode and I did fogs delete on my F22 without any issues.

Does anyone know if I will be able to do it as VO coding or what are the FDL lines for front fogs?!

Another option is to leave the fogs connected and zip tied somewhere behind the bumper, so it won't be visible and it won't throw any codes.

Any ideas or suggestions?!

If you will be replacing the light switch with the version without the front fog button; remove 5A1 from your vehicle FA and VO Code BDC with the modified FA. Or FDL code BDC 7083: LCE_BEI_LIN_VAR (to the new light switch) and NSW_VERBAUT (to nicht_verbaut)

If you will not be replacing the light switch, then do not code anything. No errors/warnings will be displayed on your instrument cluster/CID, however, your vehicle may report wiring/bulb errors in ISTA+ associated with the missing Fogs. Will check the next time I run ISTA+ and report back.

Thanks a lot. I tought it's a bit more complicated than on F-gen cars.
So no additional lines for cold and warm monitoring since they are LEDs?!

Would I be able to VO code it with Protool?!

No need based on my experience.

I have no experience with Protool. Are you replacing your light switch with the version without the front fog button?

No need to code if you are using your existing light switch.

Yes, I will be changing to light switch without front fogs so I know I have to code it.
I was just getting all the information if in some case my dealer won't be able to do the VO coding. But I guess they should be able to do it, right?!

Is your dealer BMW? If yes, the techs typically use ISTA+. I am not sure ISTA+ can modify a vehicle FA.

If your dealer cannot help with coding, I am sure one of the members that offer coding as a service would be please to help you.

FYI, your lights will still function properly with the new light switch (without coding). ISTA+ will just report an error (wrong light switch version) until coded.

Yes, my dealer is official BMW service center, but I guess I'll have to either do a FDL coding or try VO with Protools. Thanks.

Did you have to code out the deleted fog lights? I’m doing the same thing now.
