Faulty screen switching off, blank screen

I stepped into the car today to drive home and the centre screen is blank, no audio, no Bluetooth, no reversing camera etc.
The car drives fine
The screen behind the steering wheel is working in basic mode, there is no map in the middle and the right part of the screen does not allow for any configuration, wifey took pics pics attached

This happened before just a week after of receiving the car, the dealer ran diagnostics and reported no faults but flashed it anyway

This happened again today
Has anyone experienced this? What should I be asking the dealer to do?

I have the exact same problem, I disconnected my battery and lost the idrive completely, I have an M135i F40, I know it's an old thread, but were you able to fix it?

Had same problem today, I was on the road suddenly everything went down, after 15sec goes back on. Happens few time during one trip. Anyone has solutions for this?

I have these restarts with my 1 F40 (2020 model with Idrive OS7) since 5-6 weeks. After the first restart (no idea for the trigger) it happens again exactly every 90 minutes. My feeling is, the car tries to send some data to BMW or tries to receive data, which then fails and the head unit quits.

It could also could relate to the latest iOS 17.4.1 update for iPhone. However, I don't use Apple CarPlay. Haven't tried driving without iPhone coupled.

Report to BMW!
