Like the Software thread it’s frustrating and annoying that we can’t get simple answers to such simple questions.

Does everyone have Driver Assistance PRO package? When trying it are you guys using the Driver Assistance feature where the care is basically driving itself (cruise control, steering, breaking, etc.)?

These videos show how it works – which is the same as mine works.

Yup I have Driver Assistance PRO package - I have the Assisted Driving View, where it shows your car and cars around you (including detecting motorcycles and trucks). I did exactly what you said, with Driving Assisted mode turned on, held the turning stalk in the "3 blink" mode (did not "click" into continuous signal mode) for >1 second, there was no indication that it was working. I don't remember how fast I was going, maybe I wasn't going the required speed, can try it again and verify that part.

Even though it is a cool feature, I'm not sure I really care whether I have this or not though. Not a big deal to change lanes on my own

I've only used it a few times so I agree but the mystery here is why some have it and others don't. Let us know when you try at highway speeds.

So I can confirm, at 70mph - it doesn't work for me. 70mph is in the range where the instructions say it should work.

Steps I performed:

1. Turn on Cruise Control, switch to Assisted Driving Mode (car is controlling steering, etc).
2. Driving at 70mph, hold the turn signal before the "click" to continuous blinking mode.

Result - the icon for lane keep assist turns off, but nothing else happens.

Try not to hold it. Just tap it down half way and let go immediately

On my x7 with the latest software, that's how you do it

I have tried every combination of these and can confirm that I don't have the feature. I would love to see a video of a G20 doing it though if you could post one.

My July build with SW version 07/2019.55 that was updated this past Friday, does not have this option in the menu. Car has DA PRO Pkg.

I have all the kit you need and it doesn’t work for me...... uk car. Nor is lane change a menu option or mentioned in the car manual (electronic or paper)


After reading all the thread I am thinking that I need to see this working on a G20. As they say..... seeing is believing

Strangely, while the feature works for me I don’t have the menu option. Nor have I noticed the green arrow on the dash but will look for it next time.

I do have the advanced view where it's able to recognize cars and trucks and what lane they are driving in. However when changing lanes all it seems to do is temporarily disable the lane keeping ASSISTANT. It does not change lanes automatically nor does it give any visual indication of such possibly.

I also don't have the menu option as showed in the youtube video.

So if I have the drivers assistance pro package should it be showing me cars around me in my gauge cluster? Mine has never shown any vehicles or motorcycles in my gauge so could it be a software version thing because I'm still on the March software version?

There is an option in settings to get it to show in live cockpit. Think it’s under displays but can’t check just now.

Interesting. I know I for sure have the drivers assistance pro option but I don't see anything in my settings for the live cockpit when I go to display settings. I'll mess around with it some more maybe I'm missing something.
