Two issues with engine stop-start
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com 1. Stalling after restarting when moving on at a traffic light - engine switches off when the traffic light is red, when the traffic light turns green, accelerator is pressed and engine comes back on but as I go to move on it turns off agin. 2. Slowing down to give way, I don't come to a complete stop but the car shakes/vibrates as though it wants to shut down. I feel it needs to be recalibrated so that the auto stop doesn't activate until I've come to a complete stop for a few seconds, whereas at the moment it stops the engine so quickly and sometimes even when I haven't completely stopped. I'd be interested in everyone else's experiences. |

I noticed the "early" stops in the beginning. Off course this also resulted in some noticeable vibrates when I accelerated again when engine was just stopping.
That however, went away after a few weeks. Think the car needs to learn your behavior or I learned how to adapt to the functionality. Stalling when driving away after starting hasn't happened to me.

Experienced neither. Seems it's getting not the proper amount of fuel.
