Any one recently got their vin for G26 order?

I wouldn't worry about it. It is a software update.

Bumped to week 24 now (late June) according to Genius. At this stage, I see no point in sticking with MY22. Going to ask my dealer to move me to MY23, even if that means waiting until Q4 for delivery.

m440i GC
Ordered 03/05/2021
Order received 03/08/2022 (got allocation)
Genius told me that the requested production week is week18, but it seems that my order is still stuck at the order received status.
Thanks for contacting the BMW Genius Team.

"Your 2022 BMW M440i xDrive Gran Coupe had a requested production week of May 2, 2022 (week 18). At this time, however, a production week has not yet been confirmed." No idea how much time I still need to wait. It may come out a MY2023 car

I just checked the website, now back to "order received" as well. This morning i called my CA and BMW genius separately. They both told me status 112 and production week pushed to week 23.

Now the website says order received. I looked at the developer tools, the status code is 105, order out of production period, whatever that means.

Just got a text from my dealer saying that my car is going into production in July as a 2023 model. They are not making any 2022 m440 GCs. Such a bummer

Did they tell you estimate week ? Apparently my "estimate" production is week 23. But then again all "estimates" I'm being told

I have that deleted too. Although it is inconvenient, I would rather have that deleted than my touchscreen or powerseats. We will still have power tailgate. I know some earlier models got shipped without power tailgate or power seats due to chip shortage.

For some reason,I don't see passenger lumbar being deleted though.

I am seeing the same. Deletion of hands free tailgate opening got added, but can not see passenger lumbar deletion anymore.

One question to everyone:Were you able to get seat width adjustment added when you ordering the car?

Checked in on everything for my build - started off as week 17 build, then week 19 build (this week), just got word from BMW Genius that it's now week 23 build.

Aaaaand, yep - the hands-free tailgate open has been deleted.

Passenger lumbar delete is no longer there, but I'd rather give that up than the hands-free tailgate.

My build does say "Adjustable seat width" under Standard Features. I'm assuming that isn't power-adjustable but

If you have seat width adjustment then the adjustment will be electric. Did you get leather seat? I ordered sensatec seat and it does not show that option. I wonder if it is related.

I do have seat width adjustment on my 2018 430i with sensatec seats though

My 2022 m440xi Gran Coupe order history so far:

Order placed : March 15, 2022
Order received : March 23, 2022
Original build date: Week 15
Build date prediction as per CA/Genius : Week 18 => Week 23
Production begins & VIN assigned : May 18, 2022

Optimistic estimate from CA : delivery by early July.

Fingers crossed.
