Nice build!

First time I’ve seen a charge pipe not being able to fit. I wonder if that’s unique to your chassis.

I’d be curious to see if you manage to catch anything with a catch can. Everyone I’ve seen catches 0 at the PCV, and only some at the crank case. The CCV is where most of the oil comes from, and mishimoto is the only company I’m familiar with that has a kit for this.

I appreciate the comments about having an overhead. Every component seems to create a power bracket, but most people try to max out each component before bumping up. The people blowing up pure turbos and giving it a bad rap are pushing 35+psi.

As far as heat exchangers go, I haven’t found any good data that supports its usefulness, but a lot of the setups I see are with stock manifold. The stock cooling system works well, but does heat soak and a manifold is the best to combat this. On the tuning side of things, a good tuner will lower boost and up the timing to ride the torque. As long as you can shed heat fast without having to pull into the pits, the coolers are doing their job.

I have had some pretty intense numbers though. 250+F coolant, 315+F oil temps, 230F trans, etc. and everything is still ticking fine.

Great comments with which I agree. Noticed that with my manifold engine temps actually drop slightly below ideal running temp when I drove hard, but then come up to temp. First time, I’ve seen my engine run cooler rather than on the hot side.

Will see if catch can actually collects oil or not, just what the Pure turbo guys recommended with their 900 turbo.

Got my draggy, but haven’t done any times yet. Probably will wait until spring when I get some summer tires before trying anything crazy.

Your shop did a good job hiding all the wires with the new manifold; I have the same manifold, and it doesn't look as neat lol.

Looks like you had to cut the aluminum radiator bracket too. Jesse powder coated the aluminum bracket too without me asking for that, and it looks good.

Do you know if the engine cover will fit with some cutting?

Yeah, it will fit. I've been debating whether to buy the Ind Carbon Fiber cover and cut it or cut my OEM. How have you liked the 900, though? Is the lag terrible? I have that, S58 injectors, Dorsh HPFP, catch can, etc all in box waiting to be installed.

There isn’t much turbo lag if you keep the rev range at 3000rpm or above. The power up top more than makes up for lag even in a dig. I’m not doing dragstrip racing or hard digs from stopped, just want a fun tuned car to enjoy…so this fits my needs.

After about 3 weeks of daily driving, not a drop in the oil catch can. I removed the draining screw and the tip of it was even fairly dry.

So I got a Rod Sutphin transmission tune.and it is a night and day difference in shifting and power delivery.

Comfort mode is smooth and much better. The shifts are crisp and not choppy like before with the increased power. Rod tuned comfort mode to keep the lane assist department warning/intervention on. The power deliver is more linear with a more gradual ramp up for the turbo, depending on throttle input.

Sports regular is also smooth but shifts faster. And downshifts are more agressive. Lane-assist is turned off automatically. The throttle response is faster with a quicker ramp up.

Sports plus keeps the resting power band just at 2500rpm ready to delivery quick turbo spool just below the power band, optimized for roll racing. The throttle response is instant and pushes you back in your seat, very responsive and quick.

I have the xHP TCU flash & have heard pretty good things about this Rod Sutphin tune...

What are your thoughts on the transmission, same as stock just holds more power? Or has it been rougher for shifts, noticeable changes in operation?

If you are referring to the PureDrivetrain solutions stage 1. It is similar to OEM but holds more power. The transmission tune itself has more to do with how smooth it shifts and operation depending on rpm range and turbo power deleivery.

Interesting that this works - is there anything special that needed to be done, mine is a 2023 build as well and we've gone down very similar tracks - I even asked xHP whether this was something I could get unlocked in the same way as the DME, they said no...

Did your tuners have to do some magic or did it just "work".

xDelete is a separate app that you can download. The ECU is locked but the TCU is not. You should not need to unlock anything. Just pay for the license, download and install. Having said that I never used the RWD option, just tried the Sport mode with low front-wheel bias, but the traction was bad, so I just went back to xdrive. I think at my power levels it doesn't make sense to be pure RWD, unless you just want to do spin-outs and drifts.
