Nevertheless, the M-Sport trim is a bit better imo. Let’s see it in the flesh. |

Hmm the nw 2022 440i might be the winner unless that’s the same big grill hidden underneath.

Just choose shadow line. You can see it at the ix configuration page. Then all blue trims are black

Seriously... we’re still talking about grilles? Years after the concept car was first shown? It ain’t gonna shrink, not even with the LCI. BMW went all in and they are not about to back down.

I agree with all the comments regarding the grille and how it deviates too far from the concept vehicle. The concept looks so futuristic and proper for an EV. It's a shame they couldn't use that front end on the production car. My guess is this was purely a strategic move to ensure they don't immediately make all the ICE vehicles look outdated by comparison. It would just be too much of a visual leap, and as a result, a lot of folks might find themselves "in between" wanting the futuristic looks of the i4 (but not quite ready due to range, charging, etc.) while also not wanting to invest $50k+ on a traditional ICE BMW that might be out of style in another year or two. Just a theory, but in the end, I think they chose to stick with their recent design language to mitigate risk in losing sales and to stay consistent with their recent design decisions. I can't imagine it had anything to do with front crash or pedestrian safety standards in this particular case.

I was hyped when I saw the i4 concept expecting to see much of it in the production model (which isn't the case). I'm thinking the 2021 i430 is a much nicer looking alternative (save being an EV).
I'll wait until I see the entire i4 in June, but my enthusiasm has waned considerably. |

So I ran across this video. Not much new discussed except for the pricing (2:30) of the video. $80K starting MSRP
Also there were some interior shots of a test drive (1:43) and the interior looked rather mundane compared to the Concept (again the 85% being carried forward to production model is beginning to look more like 50-60% ) @ $80K I'd have to look look at the model S w/ the 112 (412 vs. 300) mile range advantage |

In Germany the iX3 costs around €73k with nearly full equipment. So i think the entry level i4 will cost far below under €70k in our country. They have to compete with the Telsa Model 3, so they have to go on the market at an attractive price too. For Comparison: A full equiped Model 3 Performance costs €63k in Germany. |
