Hi guys. First time posting
I’m geting this code and a check engine light (yellow)
First time bmw owner and I’m not sure what’s wrong and what to do.

138102: Exhaust flap actuator, signal line: short circuit to ground

Well as the code suggests, a wire's shorted to ground. Have you worked on the exhaust or tinkered with the exhaust valve in any way?

I hate how these non-emissions issues throw CELs.

Yeah that’s annoying. In CA you won’t pass smog because your check engine light is on
