Strange that they send you 3 series cars all the way from Medico when they are still building them in Germany.I haven’t read anything about UK builds but i just assumed they would also be from Germany.

It’s probably cheaper even with shipping because of labor cost.

I am thinking that maybe the reason my estimated delivery was moved from September to June is because of the LCI2, that will start to be made in July.

Ordered 2024 M440i xdrive gc, status has been “at port” since 3/15, doesn’t seem like there will be another Galveston bound ship until May 3rd.

Anyone else stuck at port?

Order status of my M440i from 3/3 got an update today, bumped up to ready to transport. Faster then I thought it would go. It's also been a warm spring so been getting early miles on the bike.

Mine was in transit. Then it went back to the port. I will be pissed if may 3rd is the next boat.

There are actually a couple opportunities for shipping prior to that, others have posted links for shipping schedules.

Still “at port” today, hoping next week, but optimistic that I at least catch the May 3rd ship, hard to tell how big the backlog of vehicles is, and the snafu with the bridge in B’more likely added to that.

I'm from Poland, last week, I just ordered 330ix, the salesman found me a very early allocation, 20th week. He also mentioned that the production is in Germany, but he wasn't so sure.
Today i called him, and he confirmed the information of production takes place in Germany, but it is moved to 26th week because of some options is not available.
Some says that if you have individual options like paints or interiors, a lot of chances your car would be made in Germany. If you are in Europe, then the transport time would be shortened from 3 months to 3 weeks.

Touring maybe? I know tourings are still made in Germany. However, I suspect they have reopened Munich to non-tourings G20's too to process all remaining orders before the LCI2 in July.

No, mine is a sedan.
My salesman said if status moved to 112, then it's locked, you can't change your options though, it will soon move to 150. Congrats to you!

Red Calipers (I went back and forth on red vs. blue but thought red would compliment the red highlights on the seats).

Pretty much opted for every package and option available except ventilated seats because they aren't available on the black vernasca leather with red highlights seats.

I've received an order number and paid my deposit, but that is as far as I've gotten. Now I'm waiting to find out about the next step.

I guess because I am purchasing an US-spec car in Germany, I do not have have the ability to monitor the status of my build. However, I was notified by BMW yesterday that I have been assigned a VIN. Does anyone know how long after a VIN is assigned before my car is built? I was told that my car is being built in Germany, and my research seemed to indicate that G22s are built at the Dingolfing plant, which is only three hours from where I live. Thus, I’m guessing delivery will be pretty quick. But I don’t know how long the process takes from receiving a VIN until the car is placed on a truck and heading my way. If anyone has any information, I would greatly appreciate it.

By the way, I saw a few hours ago that a BMW dealership in Canada posted a video on YouTube of a 2025 BMW M440i. This is the first video I’ve seen of a 2025 BMW M440i Coupe that wasn’t just cut from advertising content or clips from premiers at auto shows. Glad to see that the 2025s are hitting the streets!
