I would have to take it apart to show you, so I can’t do that. The camera itself comes off the old grill. Clips right off the grill. When you buy your new grill with the parking assistant, you will see the opening and where it clips back in.

Just did mine this morning it was pretty simple . It took about 20 minutes bc i had a little trouble with the clips on the grill but i think i was just bieng to cautious with it bc once i gave it some force while holding down the clips it popped right out. This is something anyone can do at home with a flathead screwdriver and a torques bit i believe it was a t30. No need for dealership install. Heres a before and after

This was extremely helpful, however I did pop one of the push pin connectors into the engine bay from Step 1, does anyone know where I can order a replacement? I couldn't find it anywhere, it's likely long gone by now after driving this week.

It was too hard to pull the entire pin. There is no gap in the grill? I do not have a gap or the bonnet closes well. |

I just did mine, it's in pretty tight. There are 3 tabs on each side, press the left most one down and while it is down also try to get the middle one down. You will have to put some force into it to loosen, then the one closest to the middle. Maybe get a helper to push down on two and you do the 3rd and pull. It will sound scarier than it is! Then repeat the other side, once it all tilts out, it should be easy to remove it as the bottom won't give you any trouble.

Can anyone clarify a few things please?
1. How do you remove the round plastic pins without scratching or damaging the plastic? 2. Are the clips that need to be popped out to remove the original grill part of the grill surround or separate pieces? Thank you. |
