Just got AA about 2 weeks ago. 11/2020.45. Interestingly it took 2 days for AA to appear. I have heard this is normal. Have not played too much with it. Have a S9 and it does require blue tooth and WiFi to be on and it does automatically connect.

I have tried everything with my Pixel 3, but never connected to AA! My friend's Samsung S9 connected easily. TIA

I use a one plus 8 pro (imported via eBay). my wife uses a Samsung s20. both connected without issues. many years ago I had a pixel. was horrible world disconnect from GPS after about an hour and only way to reconnect would be to restart the phone. was an absolute pain on long drives and I swore never to ever get a pixel again since failed to acknowledge it as an issue but slyly replaced North American phones..

Hye, so i've just bought a G20 2019 Model, it has carplay but no android auto, does anyone know if there is a way to get AA?

Hey , so you need to be running at least 07/2020.xx iDrive software for it to appear.
You also need to update apps and services via the apps screen in iDrive

I have a feeling it doesn't have that version, so i need to find a way around it, or I may just buy an iphone as that might be easier

the update should be available in your BMW connected drive app. you can download it there and install in the car. I did my update via OTA update from the app.

i've checked online with my VIN and it says my software is up to date, cheers though

What version do you have installed? I'm not aware of any G20 in Australia running pre-AA versions.

I've received an OTA software update to Version 07\2020.54 this past week here in Canberra for my G20 330e that now has Android Auto included.

Until that loaded I did not have AA and I have been checking with the dealer and the on-screen update selection at least every month up to now, looking for it.

Incidentally, it now also includes values for latitude in the Drive Recorder files, but with incorrectly represented values. It shows Southern latitudes as values from 360deg at the equator descending to (presumably) 180deg at the pole.
